At the time of writing, the Trakker Tempest RS Brolly has been teased as a top-of-the-range ‘fast-erecting shelter’ weighing just over 10kg and utilising market-leading Aquatexx fabric.

First of all, ‘RS’ stands for rapid shelter, but what makes it so fast to put up?

Previously, you would have to connect each pole individually. By changing the pole design, anglers no longer have to worry about slotting all five poles together individually.

This is thanks to a new design element called the ‘Rapid Knuckle System’. You simply remove the shelter from the bag, click the legs together, fan it out and then set the centre block to lock the frame into position.

It probably takes longer to remove it from the bag than it does to erect – which is less than 10 seconds!

The Trakker Tempest RS Brolly Shelter is a high-quality shelter that is easy to set up and weighs just over 10 kg. It is made from Trakker’s enhanced Aquatexx™ fabric, which has a 25,000mm Hydrostatic Head rating.

The shelter also features a blackout pigment that reduces light and heat, allowing for a peaceful lie-in after a busy night catching (hopefully!)

Like the Tempest range, the RS features an adaptive ventilation system that helps to minimise condensation in lower temperatures. The six vent covers can be fully opened and pegged out using the Trakker Tempest RS Cool Guys guy ropes, which can be purchased separately.

There are two magnetic rod straps, four mesh storage pockets, and two hanging points. It comes with an oversized heavy-duty NXG carry bag, a tension strap, two Quicksticks, and a set of T-pegs.
