Our Review
The Tempest RS 200 Bivvy is a game-changer for anglers who need space and reliability.
The patented Tempest system makes setup ridiculously fast, which is a blessing when the weather turns. No more struggling with poles while your gear gets soaked—this bivvy is up in minutes, leaving you free to focus on fishing.
The spacious interior is a standout feature. Unlike some so-called “two-man” bivvies that barely fit a second angler, the Tempest RS 200 genuinely accommodates two bedchairs with room for tackle storage.
If you’re fishing with a mate or just want extra space for comfort, this is a solid choice.

Durability-wise, the Aquatexx EV 1.0 fabric and reinforced frame make this bivvy feel rock-solid. It holds up well in strong winds, and the vapour shield technology prevents that dreaded condensation build-up that can turn a bivvy into a damp cave overnight.
That said, portability is something to consider.
While it packs down well, it’s not the lightest option at 13.5kg plus pegs and groundsheet.
If you’re constantly moving between swims, you might prefer something more compact. But for longer sessions, this bivvy is worth the extra weight.
Anti-twist Pole System
The Anti-Twist Pole System on the Trakker Tempest RS 200 Bivvy is designed to enhance stability and durability, ensuring the shelter remains secure even in challenging conditions.
This system incorporates pre-formed aluminium poles, which are engineered to resist twisting and bending under pressure, maintaining the bivvy’s structural integrity.
By preventing unwanted movement in the frame, the Anti-Twist Pole System helps the bivvy withstand strong winds and heavy rain, making it a reliable choice for long sessions.
The black textured powder-coated finish adds an extra layer of durability, reducing wear over time.
RS (Rapid Shelter) system
The Revolutionary Patented Design of the Trakker Tempest RS 200 Bivvy is what sets it apart from conventional shelters.
The RS (Rapid Shelter) system is engineered for ultra-fast setup, making it one of the quickest bivvies to erect on the market.
At the heart of this design is the patented hinge block, which allows the bivvy to be deployed in a matter of seconds.
Unlike traditional shelters that require threading poles and wrestling with awkward connections, the Tempest RS system simplifies the process with a pre-formed structure that locks into place effortlessly.
Another key innovation is the Rapid Knuckle System, which ensures all five poles can be assembled with minimal effort. This not only speeds up setup but also enhances structural integrity, making the bivvy more resistant to wind and harsh weather conditions.
Additionally, the Adaptive Ventilation® system works in tandem with the RS design to improve airflow, reducing condensation and maintaining a comfortable internal climate.

Should You Buy It?
If you’re after a spacious, ultra-durable bivvy that sets up quickly, the Trakker Tempest RS 200 is a top-tier choice. It’s perfect for longer sessions, two-angler trips, or anyone who values comfort and reliability.
While it’s not the lightest bivvy, the extra space and durability make it worth the investment.
If you want a fortress on the bank that won’t let you down when the weather turns, this is one of the best options available.
