The WhichBivvy Verdict

The Titan T1 Camo Pro is Nash doing what Nash do best - taking a genuinely excellent shelter and making it even more capable without losing what made it good in the first place.

The T1 Pro is already one of the best pram hood bivvies on the market. The Camo Pro adds the armoured blackout nylon in Nash's enlarged camo pattern, which means you can fish it on syndicate and estate waters where green shelters are not welcome without having to compromise on any of the performance that makes the T1 range special.

At 276cm wide and 228cm deep with 183cm of headroom this is a shelter you can genuinely stand up in. The inner mesh capsule at 252cm wide and 208cm deep gives you a separate insect-free zone inside the main shelter which is a proper feature rather than a token gesture.

Four external climate panels with nylon storm covers you can add or remove without leaving the bivvy mean you can manage airflow and condensation without the 3am gymnastics that smaller shelters require.

The 20,000mm Aquasense fabric handles serious weather properly, the twin magnetic rod retaining straps are a small touch that makes a genuine difference when you are landing fish in the dark, and the folding strut supports on the climate panels maintain airflow while preventing water ingress in driving rain.

The groundsheet is sold separately as the Nash Titan T1 Pro Groundsheet but the T4238 is worth adding to your order from the start.

Pros & Cons

What we like

  • 183cm of headroom makes this one of the tallest 1 man shelters in the database
  • Camo pattern opens up syndicate and estate waters that ban green shelters
  • 20,000mm Aquasense fabric handles everything the British climate manages to produce
  • Removable inner mesh capsule provides serious insect protection without a separate inner
  • Four climate panels with storm covers all manageable without leaving the bivvy
  • Twin magnetic rod retaining straps genuinely useful for landing fish in the dark
  • Flat profile back maximises room for the largest sleep systems
  • At 12.5kg stripped it is manageable on a barrow for a shelter of this spec

Watch out for

  • Groundsheet sold separately as T4238 -- add it to your order or expect to fish without one
  • Full system weight of 16kg with capsule and storm poles needs a proper barrow
  • Pole and frame setup takes longer than a quick-erect design
  • Strictly for anglers who need camo -- the standard T1 Pro delivers the same performance for less
  • Height of 183cm means packed size is considerable at 228cm depth

Should You Buy This Bivvy?

Buy it if...

  • You fish syndicate or estate waters that require camo pattern shelters
  • You want 183cm of headroom in a pram hood -- this is the tallest 1 man in the Nash range
  • You want 20,000mm Aquasense waterproofing and a genuine inner mesh capsule system in one package
  • You do long sessions and want climate panels you can adjust without leaving your sleeping bag
  • You want the best Nash 1 man pram hood available and budget is not the primary constraint

Look elsewhere if...

  • You fish waters where camo is not required -- the Nash Titan T1 Pro delivers the same spec for less
  • You want a quick-erect design -- the Titan T1 is a pole and frame shelter
  • You are on a budget as there are capable shelters available for significantly less
  • You fish mobile and the 16kg full system weight is impractical for your style of fishing
  • You need a 2 man option -- look at the Nash Titan T2 Camo Pro instead
