The WhichBivvy Verdict

Everything that makes the RS 200 the benchmark two-man quick-erect on the market – in camo!

The specification is identical to the standard green version: 25,000mm Aquatexx fabric, Rapid Knuckle System that locks all five poles simultaneously, Adaptive Ventilation across six vents, blackout pigment and 175cm of headroom.

The only difference is the fabric pattern, and on waters where green shelters are not welcome that difference is the entire buying decision.

At 390cm wide and 295cm deep this is serious two-man space. Two anglers can fish from it properly without spending the session negotiating whose bedchair goes where.

The flatter rear design maximises usable floor space and means it fits into tighter swims than the dimensions might suggest.

The four rear Adaptive Ventilation vents with full pegging capability means condensation is genuinely managed rather than just tolerated.

Total packed weight is 20.2kg including pegs, Quicksticks and the oversized NXG carry bag. This is a barrow shelter and makes no apology for it.

The groundsheet, clear window, two Quicksticks and T-pegs are all included.

The full camo accessory range is compatible including Skull Cap, Insect Panel and Inner Capsule.

  • Rapid Knuckle System locks all five poles simultaneously in under a minute
  • Six Adaptive Ventilation vents with full pegging capability
  • Blackout pigment for daytime sleep and reduced solar heat ingress
  • Groundsheet, clear window, two Quicksticks and T-pegs all included

Frequently Asked Questions

What Is The Difference Between The Trakker Tempest Rs 200 Camo And The Standard Green Version?

The specification is identical between the two versions. Both use 25,000mm Aquatexx fabric, both have the Rapid Knuckle System, both have Adaptive Ventilation and both share the same dimensions and weight. The only difference is the fabric pattern. The Camo version uses Trakker’s camo print for anglers fishing syndicate or estate waters where green shelters are not permitted. If your water has no colour requirements the standard green RS 200 delivers identical performance.

What Accessories Are Compatible With The Trakker Tempest Rs 200 Camo?

The RS 200 Camo is compatible with the full Trakker camo accessory range including the Trakker Tempest RS 200 Skull Cap Camo, the Trakker Tempest RS 200 Insect Panel Camo and the Trakker Tempest RS 200 Inner Capsule. The bivvy also features built-in Skull Cap mounts for straightforward fitting. All accessories are sold separately. The Nitelife Vapour Shield is also available as a compatible accessory

What Is The Total Packed Weight Of The Trakker Tempest Rs 200 Camo?

The bivvy itself weighs 13.8kg. The total packed weight including pegs, Quicksticks and the oversized NXG carry bag is 20.2kg. The transport size is 163cm long by 25cm diameter. At this weight and packed size the RS 200 Camo is strictly a barrow or drive-in shelter. The groundsheet, clear window and two Quicksticks are all included in the supplied kit.

Is The Trakker Tempest Rs 200 Camo Suitable For Winter Carp Fishing?

Yes, with confidence. The 25,000mm Aquatexx fabric is the highest waterproofing rating available on any quick-erect shelter currently on the market and handles the worst of UK winter conditions without issue. The Adaptive Ventilation system with six vents significantly reduces condensation in cold weather, and the blackout pigment helps manage the freeze-thaw cycle that causes condensation in cheaper single-skin shelters. For pairs fishing or solo anglers wanting serious winter capability, the RS 200 Camo is the benchmark.
